Ahsen’s practice focuses on estate planning, nonprofit counsel and general corporate counsel.

Ahsen works closely with individuals and high net worth family offices to tailor wealth planning. His knowledge of estate tax considerations at both the state and federal levels allows him to anticipate and proactively incorporate tax savings provisions for his clients while keeping in mind their personal and financial aspirations. Ahsen’s work in this regard has included the establishment of various wills and trusts and representing institutions organizing endowments and private foundations. As a trusted advisor to his corporate clients, Ahsen also designs comprehensive succession planning strategies to protect economic interests and maintain operational excellence during transition.

Ahsen also regularly represents owners and investors with business transactions. His corporate work includes preparing and negotiating purchase and sale agreements and joint ventures. On the commercial side, he regularly represents businesses with supply, distribution, services, and other vendor contracts in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, education, and consumer services.
